Hidden Cameras?

The Farmer and I went down the driveway you see in the header of this blog. It's across the road from our driveway. We wanted to see what exactly is back there.

There's a house way off from the "main" road which we'd never seen in the 10 or so years we've lived here. It's a lovely setting with a creek in the front, and a swimming pool and big field in the back.

The neighbors work someplace far off, and only occasionally come back for brief visits. Since they're gone so much, they ask one of our other neighbors to look after the place, and have ADS security.

They also have this sign on both the front and back doors...

I smiled and waved when I read the one on the front door, and The Farmer did the same when he read the one on the back door.

Just one thing... I hope whatever jobs they have don't require great spelling skills.

Ha!
Did you hear that there are some people trying to change words in the English language because they are too hard?
Seriously. Words like 'monkey' and 'shoulder.' They want to make them 'monky' and 'sholder.'

(Your neighbors probably work for the government.)

Thanks for the smile!

What always amazes me about these sorts of things is that it was obviously done on a computer, and just about every word processing program has a.... yes, a SPELL CHECKER!!! Wonder why it's such a little used utility?

Ha Ha!!! I'm the worst speller on the planet!! I try to use the spell check as much as possible but sometimes we are in such a hurry!!! Do you supposed they were in a big hurry to get out of there!!! I'm sure it wasn't because they couldn't afford the paper!!!

Makes you wonder if they really have anything under "survalce". Heck they even misspelled their misspelling--it should be survalnce if they were going to misspell it properly.:)

That's pretty bad when you misspell the misspelling, but I believe you've got it right! I'm not sure what they were trying to say!

Now thats funny. I'm a bad speller, too. But not because I don't know better. Journalism and English were my specialty. BUt my brain thinks faster than I can type and my ADHD can't be bothered with going back and looking for mistakes. haha

But even I would have checked and fixed something like that sign that was going to on my doors, plain as day, especially if I wanted to be taken seriously by those burglars and thieves.

Of course, the burglars and thieves probably can't read anyway, so correct spelling isn't too important. haha!!

I love how you waved and said hello to the camera, though. Cool!
