Just Kidding Around!

The twin goat kids will be 1 week old tomorrow. It doesn't take them long, however, to start jumping and skipping around all over the place. This morning when I put some hay in the pen for their Mama, they decided it would be fun to crawl all over it.
Making a mountain out of a molehill.... uh, hay pile.

Goat mothers must be very long-suffering, because their kids are full of antics!

Most of the time Cinnamon just keeps on eating and ignores her youngsters shenanigans.

Kids! They get into everything!

Every once in a while, they do stop long enough for a scratch or to take a nap.

Hold on a second! I've got an itch.

Whew, I'm tired. How about a little nap?

They're mighty cute little guys, and at least while they're little, they don't cause much real trouble. That comes later, when they hit the goat equivalent of teenager and adulthood. Then it's find every hole in the fence you can - or make one! Find ways to open gates at every opportunity! See if you can break into the feed room or hay storage!

That's when cute becomes incorrigible. And I'm not kidding!

Very cute! I miss having goats. For years we had February kids but it's so quiet here now. Thanks for the kid fix!

Oh, I could watch that video all day - wonderful! Hilarious the way Cinnamon completely ignores the two babes and just continues munching away and looking around. What kind of goat is Cinnamon? And who was the dad?

Awww. Adorable!
When I was a kid, we had a pet goat named Barney. We kept him penned in the back yard. He was so neat. Other kids had dogs. We had Barney.

Ok, ok...I have to add something. When I was 16, I had a goat, too. His name was Rodney. Rodney was white with black spots, had HUGE horns and hated everybody but me. Oh, he also ate all my mom's roses.

Robin, you're welcome for the kid fix!

As for what kind of goat is Cinnamon, she's a cashmere/pygmy cross. The buck was an angora/pygmy cross.

And the only thing I have found that the goats love better than my roses is my lilac bush and even better than that, honeysuckle.
