In this case, the M.D. stands for Major Deity, because I'm sure that's what the parrot looks like to the little chicks below her.
There's this feathered being far above them, much larger than they are!
Or perhaps she could be BIRDzilla!
Whatever she looks like to the little chicks, she is intensely curious about those peeping little fluff balls!

I would have so much fun just watching these two species interact. What fun!
Looks like near the end that a few chicks got brave and decided to check out their new friend.
They kind of looked at each other, but if the parrot got too close, the little chicks ran.
So I noticed that with my chicks, from a very early age, they had the whole "big shadow in the sky" instinct, where if anything loomed above them, they would run and hide. Did your grey not scare the bee-jeebies out of them?

Maybe if it posts twice it makes it HUGELY significant? ;-) Anyway, at first they stayed far away, but I guess they got kind of used to her. Maybe they thought she was a skinny chicken. :)

That's amazing! How long have you had your grey parrot? Have you always lived with parrots or other birds?
Has your grey had other meetings with other batches of chicks before?
I'm fascinated, can you tell?! haha
I've had her a couple of years. She was a rescue. Before her I had cockatiels and finches.
This is the first time I've had chicks, so it was the first time the parrot had seen any.
She loves to check out new things!
I think that's great that you know how to take care of these beautiful birds and even help gie rescues a good home.
